Research and management consulting is a complex activity that requires technical and non-technical
human skills. Together, these skills determine the ultimate success of the consultation.
While there are much in the literature about several areas of research, comparatively little or
no attention has been directly addressed to the training of young research consultants
in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
From the outset, Dataville Solutions became aware that undergraduates in Nigeria tertiary
institutions are given little, if any, preparation for actual consulting careers when they
leave school, thus, further widening the dearth of research consultants in the midst of
abundant human resources.
We are therefore driven by the desire to contribute towards bridging the gap by creating
an innovative Virtual Internship Programme for young and outstanding undergraduates to be groomed
in functional areas of research, IT and management consulting for life-long collaboration with
education & research institutions, government agencies, industry, NGOs and international
organizations.
Successfully short listed Interns/Resident Data Analysts upon orientation training are expected
to carry out the following tasks in their various domains:
Receiving various clients industry-wide.
Administer and solve problems in Statistics, Research Methodology and Econometrics.
Carryout data analysis using SPSS, EViews, Epi Info, CSPro, KGP Data Analysts, Excel Analysis Tool Pak and other analytical software packages.
Log and follow up clients’ various complex requests on Dataville Solutions web portals
Working collaboratively with clients and communicating complex recommendations and findings in non-technical terms.
Collaborate with Dataville Solutions web team in custom software applications & web development.
Presentation skills.
Billing consulting services.
Creating strategic partnership with other consulting firms and associated firms both local and foreign.
